OSTROGOTI IN ITALIA Odoacre, monetazione a nome di Zeno – Solido (Milano) a nome di Zeno – Busto elmato di fronte – R/ La Vittoria stante a s., nel campo, M –D, a sinistra, stella a sei raggi, all’esergo, COMOB – Lacam 53, 56 AU (g 4,08) RRR Ex Durr-Michel 1999, n. 230 (collezione Lacam). Screpolatura al bordo. La monetazione occidentale di Zenone è caratterizzata da tre fasi distinte: la prima, contemporanea a Giulio Nepote (476-480), la seconda, del tempo di Odoacre (480-489), ed infine la terza (489-491) dove Zenone aveva concesso a Teodorico l’investitura del governo ma di fatto col potere nelle mani ancora di Odoacre.
