VENEZIA Giovanni II Corner (1709-1722) 15 Zecchini - Pa. 7 (indicato R/5) AU (g 51,72) RRRRR Nella monetazione veneziana spiccano le serie di multipli battute per alcuni dogi. A fianco delle serie battute con i conii delle monete d’argento, ce ne sono alcune battute con conii appositi assai larghi e facilmente distinguibili da tutto il resto della monetazione corrente con le impronte dello zecchino, cioè il doge genuflesso davanti a San Marco al diritto ed il Redentore al rovescio. La serie di queste monete per Giovanni II Corner è la più importante di tutta la storia monetaria veneziana. Vi sono rappresentati dei multipli da 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 20, 25, 33, 36 e perfino 40 zecchini. Quest’ultimo valore corrisponde a g 139,60.
