PARMA Pier Maria II de’ Rossi e Bianca Pellegrini Medaglia Opus: G. Enzola - AE (Ø 30 mm) RR In slab NGC AU 55 BN cod. 6323023-001 Pier Maria II de’ Rossi, detto il Magnifico e meglio noto come Pier Maria Rossi nacque a Berceto il 25 marzo 1413 fu un famoso condottiere al servizio degli Sforza e fu impegnato anche come diplomatico. Morì il 1 settembre 1482. Bianca Pellegrini era, per così dire la sua amante ufficiale. Il Rossi diede l’incarico, tra il 1455 e il 1471, all’orefice parmense Francesco da Enzola di eseguire alcune medaglie recanti la sua effigie e quella della Pellegrini, importanti sotto l’aspetto iconografico, ma oggi quasi tutte disperse.
